Commissioned directly by Cù Bòcan — Tomatin Distillery’s experimental single malt Scotch whisky brand — this project involved creating the launch imagery for their latest limited release, Creation 5.
The shoot blended location lifestyle photography on the rugged Cornish coastline with considered product and lifestyle photography produced in studio. The dual-location approach was designed to reflect the character of the whisky itself — raw, elemental, and crafted with intention.
The dramatic Cornish coastal setting speaks to the adventurous spirit of the Cù Bòcan range, while the studio work delivered the clean, premium product imagery required for packaging, retail, and digital channels.
Being commissioned directly by the brand reflects the kind of close creative partnership David regularly builds with drinks brands — working from brief through to final delivery without an agency intermediary.
